The 20 year old situation was a big story of this year’s pre-season for the Blades, along with the fact that around a dozen players were attending NHL training camps.
Well, one more player is back in the fold after being re-assigned by his NHL club.
Curtis Hamilton is headed back to Saskatoon from the Edmonton Oilers. He was one of 20 players given the snips by the Oil yesterday.
The Blades also received Teigan Zahn and Marek Viedensky in recent days from their NHL clubs.
Saskatoon is going to be counting on a big year from Hamilton this year. He registered 16 points in 26 games during an injury-plagued year last year. That was good enough to get himself drafted in round 2 by Edmonton.
He will be plugged into a top 6 role and provide more experience to a club that still has a very very young lineup as the regular season approaches.
Speaking of the regular season, it gets underway this Friday and Saturday with a home and home against the PA Raiders.
